Support Local at the 2016 Hospitality Awards
Did you know that by attending a delicious dinner you can
support local, contribute to a scholarship fund for Georgian College
Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation students and experience an amazing evening
with some of Simcoe County’s finest food industry folks?
The Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association is
presenting the Simcoe Hospitality Awards on Wednesday April 27, 2016.
Cocktails will be poured at 6:30, while you are served appealing
appetizers crafted by the Culinary Students from Georgian College.
A Marche style dinner starts at 7, prepared by some of the
regions’ best chefs! This will be a tantalizing taste treat as they are
competing for the coveted 2016 Silver Plate award, putting their best plates
forward for guests to enjoy.
As a ticket holder you have the opportunity to vote for your
favourite plate, a difficult decision will need to be made as you dine for this
worthy cause.
Who will your cast your vote for?
While the goal of the evening is to raise $15,000 in
scholarship funds for Georgian College Hospitality Programs, having attended a
number of the award events I assure you, they aim to have guests share in the
celebration of, as they say “the best of the best”.
This is the night when the industry pays tribute to their
own; raising their glasses to toast community sponsors and tourism leaders, heaping
accolades on the chefs who pass their knife sharp culinary skills onto their students,
serving thanks to all that support the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation
students in the Georgian College programs. These students will become our
future hospitality leaders.
Awards are presented for Industry leaders, Peoples choice
and the coveted Silver Plate while guests dine in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality!
