Know Before You Go: Barrielicious & Winterfest 2018

Looking for fun activities this weekend to get you out of the house? Grab your friends and family and celebrate winter by combining two of Barrie’s popular events of the season, Barrielicious and Winterfest! With so many delicious restaurants to choose from and a wide variety of fun activities to enjoy, it’s sure to be a weekend to remember.

I look forward to Barrielicious every year, as it shines a spotlight on the incredible local restaurant talent we have in the Barrie and surrounding areas. From family-friendly restaurants, pubs, bistros, steakhouses, and more January 19th-Feb.4th just isn’t enough time to taste them all!


After a full day of winter activities, treat yourself to dinner out at one of the many local restaurant hotspots featured in the Barrielicious lineup. It’s the last weekend of Barrielicious, so be sure to take advantage of some of the delicious fare our talented local chefs are serving up. Prices range from $15-30.

Parking & Shuttle Service to Winterfest

There’s nothing worse than attending an event and not knowing where to park or if shuttle service is provided.

The town of Barrie is offering free shuttle service from the Bayfield Mall to the Winterfest events in downtown Barrie. Click here to view their full shuttle schedule so you can plan your day with peace of mind.

For those already in the downtown core, but unfamiliar with all of the parking options available, click here to view the town’s downtown parking map. Always handy to have this as a reference guide when your usual parking spots are full.
